COASTAL KIDS

Everything we do in Coastal Kids stems from our desire to point kids towards Jesus.
Our Kids environment has been creatively designed and programmed to connect with your child’s needs. Each week overflows with imagination as your child learns about the Bible through games, crafts, age-appropriate Bible lessons, and application activities. As your child grows older, they will learn Godly values through Bible stories, memory verses, and practical applications appropriate to their age level. All of these elements are presented in an exciting, interactive, and fun manner that children will enjoy coming back to week after week.

Safety

Coastal Kids is led by caring adult and teen volunteers who have been trained by the Children’s Ministry staff and have successfully completed awareness training and a background check through MinistrySafe, a comprehensive third-party child safety system. You’ll never have to worry about your kids’ safety, and after a few visits they’ll be begging to attend church on Sundays.

Check-In / Dismissal

CHECK IN
Coastal Kids check-in opens 15 minutes before services begin. Check-In is the place for new families to register and for regular attenders to pick up weekly tags. Children wear a tag with their name and parents' phone number and parents receive a tag with their children’s unique check-in code.
Please notify a Check-In team member and your child’s teacher if your child has any allergies we should know about. Our Check-In team is always available to answer any questions you might have.

DROP OFF
Parents can meet Coastal Kids volunteers at the doorway of each classroom to drop-off their children, which ensures that only adults with the necessary security clearance have access to children. Please set your mobile phone to vibrate when attending the main service so that the Coastal Kids team can contact you should the need arise.

DISMISSAL
Please pick up your children personally and promptly after the service with your matching parent tag. For the safety of all Coastal Kids, please show the tag to the teacher at the entrance of their classroom. Only parents or guardians with a matching parent tag will be allowed to check-out children.

Text Message / Parent Code

Should the need arise for your assistance with your child during the service, a Coastal Kids volunteer will first attempt to reach you via text message. If we don’t receive a reply within a few minutes, the unique number on your parent name tag will display on the screen in the worship room. A Coastal Kids volunteer will meet you at the Coastal Kids Check-In area to discuss your child’s needs.

The Reef (1st-4th)

The Reef is normally offered during the 10:30 am worship service, but has been SUSPENDED due to COVID-19.

In our elementary environment, we want our kids to learn 3 Basic Truths:
  • I need to make the wise choice
  • I can trust God no matter what
  • I should treat others how I want to be treated

In the Reef, our 1st-4th graders participate in relational time, worship, Bible teaching and then go into small group times that mirror our Community Groups at Coastal. They have consistent small group leaders each week who love and invest in them and are committed to helping them know and follow Jesus.

We Think Orange!

In Coastal Kids, we THINK ORANGE! Orange is our ministry strategy. It starts with two individual influences in a child’s life: HOME + CHURCH. Alone, these two work hard to ensure that every child has a better future, but when they’re combined they will have a GREATER IMPACT. Coastal Kids exists to provide a safe and fun worship time for children and to resource parents with the tools necessary for their family to discover a Christ-centered life. Every Sunday, in each age environment, we want kids to HAVE FUN, MEET FRIENDS, and LOVE JESUS.
