Despite what the other staff members may say, I actually have the best job at Coastal. As the Coastal Kids Director, I have an amazing opportunity - children are a blank page that I get to help write the love of God on.

I love the verse Deuteronomy 6:6-7, “And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.” I am passionate about teaching children to know and follow Jesus and helping to build strong families where parents are the primary disciple-makers.

I have a background in early childhood education and a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston. I was a teacher for 6 years before going into ministry and love this new side of teaching children. I love seeing the smiles on their faces when they figure stuff out, hear them laugh and say the hilarious things they say that are usually 119-Likes-on-Facebook worthy.

When I’m not hanging out with kids, I enjoy going to the beach with my dog Tatum, shopping, traveling and going to brunch.
